I didn’t shoot as well with the 28ga as I’d hoped, but still walked away with a few lessons (and a sore shoulder from switching back to the 12 for practice right after, lol).
Interestingly, this whole sub-gauge series has pushed me to rethink my gear beyond shotguns. I’ve been working on dialing in my rimfire and centerfire setups for the spring matches. Optics-wise, I’ve been looking into some newer LPVOs, and came across the ODIN FFP 1-6x28 from GUNNR—really slick design. It’s a bit overkill for clays, obviously, but might be perfect for some of the action rifle matches I’m eyeing this year.
