2008 Club Match
Schedule
Twin
City CMP SIG will be holding
service Rifle Matches at 1:00 P.M. on the following (3rd Sunday except as noted) dates :
January 20
February 17
March 16
April 20
May 18
June 15
July 20
August 17
September 21 (may be canceled for "sight-in-days" if an early deer
hunt is scheduled by WDNR)
Rules: Current CMP rules will govern the match
Each match will
consist of four stages, as follows:
2 sighting shots will be fired at the
beginning of the match
at 100 yards on the SR-1 target.
1st Stage Slow
fire, 100 yards, Standing. 10 rounds for record fired in 10 minutes
or less from the offhand position at 100 yards on the SR-1 target,
single loaded.
2nd Stage Rapid fire,
100 yards, Sitting from standing. 10 rounds for record fired in 60
seconds or less at 100 yards on the SR-1 target with one reload.
3rd Stage Rapid
Fire, 100 yards, Prone from standing, 10 rounds for record fired in 70
seconds or less at 100 yards on the SR-21 target with one reload.
4th Stage Slow fire,
100 yards, Prone. 20 rounds for record fired in 20 minutes or less
from the prone position at 100 yards on the MR-31 target, single
loaded.
Sling support may
be used on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th
Stages of the match.
Firearms
allowed: Any safe center fire rifle may be used. We encourage the
use of the “Service Rifle” as defined by CMP Rule 6.2.4
Our matches are
pretty informal and instruction will be available at the match.
